There is a group called TeVaka. The members are from all over the Pacific islands. Their music is wonderful and very "islandy" without being hokey. I have TeVaka's album Tutuki and I love it. My kids love it too.

Elvis Presley's version of the Hawaiian Wedding Song. Sounds kinda cheesey but its actually very nice.

For something more contemporary, try listening to local artists such as Hapa, Na Leo o Pilimehana, Makaha Sons, Keali'i Reichel, Amy Gilliom

Hi-
My brother in law is a music producer. Go to his website at www.rolltopmusic.com I suggest the Beach and Guitar CD. He recorded several of the tracks in Hawaii and mixed them in San Diego. His name is Tim Coffman and he ships quickly to any address you specify. Check it out. Also, Beach Boulevard is a good CD too. The website lets you listen to snippits of the songs.

How approximately "i will stay with You Into the darkish" via death Cab for Cutie? this is an astonishing music this is extra emo than punk, truly, besides the indisputable fact that this is truly delicate and gorgeous (sounds rather like "howdy There, Delilah") See in the adventure that your fiancee likes it. additionally, you may desire to constantly compromise and have her opt for the song for the daddy-daughter dance, and this is a few thing u . s ., like that music referred to as "I enjoyed Her First."
