were friends for a short while and you found out, what do you feel. Like terror for our souls? Sad because we don't know the love of god? I hope you rot in hell? I mean, you must think something. What is it. Please be honest and serious.

Midge, you are looking too much into the short while. I said short while because I figure if you are really good friends you would know how they are. I just want to know, because I think both Christians and Atheist make accusations toward each other think the wrong things about the other, but if we knew how the other actually felt instead of how we think they feel, it would help both sides make the other one understand why they feel the way they do.

I'm baffled. I cannot imagine never experiencing the presence of God. After being baffled, I would be sorrowful for you...and then pray for you, which I will.

I actually had this situation face me. In high school, my friend was gay and atheist. I thought previously that I could never be friends with someone who didn't think or behave like I did. However, when he told me, I couldn't imagine not being his friend anymore. While I struggled with his revelation for a short while, I finally came to my senses and realized he was my friend before I knew this and he would remain my friend afterwards. I mean, how Christian could I have been if I cut all ties with him? I always prayed for him to come to know God as I do because I cared for him and did not want him to go through a tough life without God's calming presence. Additionally, I was concerned about his life after death, but I loved him and respected his beliefs. True Christians, I think, would do the same.

Hi , i am half Christian. I simply have no felling, positive or negative what so ever for people who are either of another religion or does not believe in god at all.

The most interesting friend that i had was atheist. Most of my friends are either Christian or Muslim. I did not chose them by their religion or their believe. But we rather got together and found out that we like each others personality, behavior and then become friends.

Well there are some people, specially whose heart are old, they think if you are not Christian, you are not ethical, your life is full of sin, you will rot in hell, and you will make other people rot in the world. They constantly try to convert the non-Christians. Same goes for some Muslims too. They dont realize that it is not god, but it is we who chose to behave the way we do. Are all the Christians and Muslims going to Heaven. Hahahahaaha. yea right.

These people just bother me. I mean they are definitely not happy with their life, so why take it out on others, just take it out on you.

As a Christian, I feel sadness and regret, perhaps even fear, when I hear that someone I know is an Atheist. I hope that God will help the person to start a relationship with Him.

I also try not to make judgments about what it means specifically for the person. People have many reasons to be Atheists, just like people have many reasons to be Christians; others have their reasons for believing what they do. Since I don't know people's history, motivations, stories, reasoning, etc., I can't make judgments about their character, morals, etc. based on the mere fact that they don't believe in God.

That said, I do pray that God would save him or her. People have to make their own decisions about whether they will accept God's love. I can't force anyone to change their minds. God is the one that does the saving; I couldn't even save myself.

God bless.

Do you really want to hear my honest answer? Here it is then: I do feel sorry for you. You may very well have been seriously burned by people who don't have their facts straight and are themselves also seriously deceived. The vast majority of religious people in this world are in this category. If you are not one to study for yourself you may been seriously pushed off in the wrong direction by these kinds of people. They are the ones pushing the popular religions of our day. Now back to you. I must tell you that I don't see you as very bright or very logical. I see you as a person that shuts out the light all around because you fear ultimate responsibility and you fear it so much you have built up a false front of pseudo intelligence. You have no real answers to all the major questions in life that I have answers for. You are afraid of being honest with your self. You are afraid of truth and you are afraid of studying the Bible for your self. You are selfish and self important. Unless you change you will die a lonely person with no real hope for anything more than the here and now as ugly as that is. I say you are still an adolescent at heart and for your own sanity I hope that you grow out if this phase and embrace true adulthood some day. If you ever seriously want to know the truth I can direct you to it. Just don't waste my time if you are not serious.

I am a Christian . I don't think about you as going to Hell, if that is what you are referring to.

I just wonder if you are a harmony-loving person or not.

I suspect Church Christians are in for a big surprise in regards to Hell. (Sure, Hell was in business 2000 years ago, but it was Satan's domain, not God's invention. Proof: Hell does not fit into God's personality.

Is Hell in business today? Sure, If God and Jesus have been unable to do away with it during the last 2000 years.

But, I feel that by now, Jesus and God have disbanded Hell as it is described in the Bible at that time, at that time, at that time.-

Discern that all ye who think that time was frozen after the Bible was written.

Contrary to popualr belief, i don't think the choice to know God is ours. Sure, you make the decision to open the door & step through it & above the door you may read 'i choose you' but close it behind you a few months from then when your more certain of your faith & above the door on the inside will read ' I chose you!' Christians can only lead you to the door, so the way i feel about non believers is 'it's just a matter of time'.

My roommate is Agnostic, and I've got other friends who are Atheist, and this is what goes through my mind as a Christian.

Friend says, "Hey did you know that I'm an atheist."

I say, "Cool." But what I'm really thinking, " Man, what's for lunch."

The same type thought goes through my head if they say they are Hindu, Buddist, Islamic, or Wiccan. However, if they say, I'm a Satanist, then I might have to really consider how much the friendship means to me.

Hope this helps. Not all Christians are hell bent to think you're HELL BOUND!!! lol

First of all, I believe in humanity. As humans, we should be kind to each other no matter what our belief is. As a christian, I believe that there is a higher being who started all this (created it from nothing) and it begs the question: Where did it all begin? We may never know the answer to this or other questions like this because of our shortcomings as humans, but if you can believe in human beings and you can believe in what you see before you, I ask this question....Why is it so hard to believe in a higher being? I mean, you can't see the air, but you feel it and breath it in, but you can't hold it. Why is it necessary for us as human beings to be so tangable in things? If this doesn't get you to thinking, then all I ask as one human being to another is for you to be kind to others. I believe that my God will recognize you, even if you don't recognize him. And the real name of the game here is being kind to all, live a good life and help others when you can. I hope this helps you in your lifes journey.

I used to be an atheist prior to becoming a Christian so I do understand why I didn't believe in God before but everybodys reasons are different and I would just ask what yours are. I truly wouldn't think anything positive or negative about you for not believing. Peace :-)

For me, it wouldn't change our relationship. I hope we could talk about what our beliefs are - among other things that you need to build a friendship. There is no phobia here. Live by example....the Bible says the world will know us by our love for one another. I know there are so many "Christians" that don't show that and the whole Christian community gets a bad rap.....
You will know where I stand...but the things you listed aren't even on my radar. I hope that helped a little.
