1) What are the original Fruit Loops colors?

According to Wikipedia, they are red, yellow, and orange. I would like to know if this is indeed true.

2) If this is true, when was the green fruit loop added?

Thank you!!

[Serious answers/guesses only please.]

Nope - they are right. It was red, yellow and orange when Kellogg's introduced them in 1963. The green wasn't added until the 80s.

The original flavors are red yellow and orange. I am not sure when they added the lime -- but I think it was in the late 80s/early 90s.

The blue and purple were added much more recently. I found some info at this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fruit_Loops -- but it doesn't say WHEN the new colors were added.

By the way -- I coincidental just had Fruit Loops for breakfast for the first time in more than 10 years. They weren't as good as I remembered.

Red, Yellow and Orange were the first colors. I visited the website and pulled up an original box of the first ones and these are the only colors on it. 1964
