I found out on Weds of this week that I am pregnant and at my drs advice, stopped taking my cymbalta - cold turkey - it is very unpleasant - i feel like i'm 'watching myself' - going thru the motions, drunk, dizzy and like my heart skips a beat every now and then. I went thru that same thing with effexor withdrawal, i just don't recall how long that lasted. I feel horrible - it's not like i was feeling stellar before with the first trimester of pregnancy - can anyone share how long their withdrawal lasted? I know everyone is different - i'm just kind of looking for an 'average' b/c i just want to feel icky from being pregnant now - LOL

Also - any advice on what to do to help cope with the withdrawal? I work full time and go to school at the moment and as much as i'd love to just crawl into bed 24/7 until it passes, that's not an option at the moment. Thanks for anything you can offer!

I took myself off Cymbalta because it made me even more depressed. I went cold turkey, the dizziness and nausea lasted about a week to ten days but it was SO worth it to get that crap out of my system. Keep in touch with your doctor so he can help manage your depression throughout your pregnancy. You have alot on your plate right now, so don't be afraid to ask for help. Good luck.

Well, I dont know about what to do about the withdrawals, but don't take anymore anti-depressents because they are complete bull___! They almost ruined my life and I don't recommend them for anyone. Doctors are brainwashed by big corporate drug companies.
