You do not have to get a buzz. All the previous answer are collect; If you like it short it cant touch the bottom of the collar of your uniform jacket. I spent 20 years in never had long hair only once and it took bunches of Bobbie pins because my hair is so fine. Never again had only been in less than a year

However: IF you choose to keep it long please keep in mind that If your activated you might consider wearing it short as it does interfere with the wear of your Gas Mask and sometimes prevents you from keep a good seal or your mask which means it leaks. During Desert Storm 99% of the women in my unit choose to wear the hair short for that and its hotter then heck over there

If you are is long enough you will put it up in a tight neat bun. You can have corn-rows as long as they are clean and straight back and 1/4 inches apart. If you like you hair short, it has to be the same all the way around you head. No fadish styles. You can also have bangs but it can't cover your eyes.

You do NOT have to cut it. You just have to have up in a bun while working. The Navy is the only branch that makes females cut hair(only during boot camp).

you may the two decrease it so that's above your collar or you may tie it as much as an authorized coiffure mutually as in uniform. Shaving it off thoroughly like Demi Moore did in GI Jane isn't an decision via AR 670-a million prohibiting "faddish" haircuts and a woman along with her head shaved is considered "faddish" to the army. I knew some women who previous to a deployment would take clippers with a intense quantity shelter to their hair so they are no longer technically shaved yet nonetheless short. It makes hygiene plenty greater common. that's not as common now as as quickly as we first went into Iraq via maximum bases in Afghanistan having showers easily available yet back then showers have been confusing to get to and there have been situations they might circulate days or even weeks and not utilising a tub, having to bathe their hair with bottles of water.

No. You just have to put it up while in uniform. A lot of women french braid, others go with the bun. It just has to be up and of a normal color. (Not necessarily your natural color, but not pink or blue.)

NOOOOO....you just have to keep it off your collar. Either a short cut or bob or keep it in a ponytail. And all one color helps. Good luck.
