It sounds sort of funny but it could be possible, right?

Ofcourse you can! Does you kitten come when it hears food being put out? If yes just say it's name when you are putting the food out or when you get a toy out to play with it. Just keep on saying the kitten's name. In about a month it'll come when you call it. (It just has to know that that's their name!)

Sure. When my cat was sick, I had to get him inside and keep him in a cage at night because I had to give him some medicine that would make him lethargic and I didn't want him outside. I was afraid he couldn't react quickly if something attacked him. I made a clicking sound with my tongue, 7 clicks, 4 sets. It only took him about a day to learn it. If he doesn't respond to that click system right away, I'll check back in 5 minutes and he's right there. (He was busy, I just had to leave a message!) >^..^<

Say her name when ever she comes into the room, or even when you just look up and see her there or catch her eye. In kittenhood, do this to the point that it may seem excessive, it works, though. Not only will she come when you call her, but you'll have a really close bond, almost like you would w/a dog.

Yes you can I trained my cat. The book I had said to get a handful of treats and call his or her name to you, a few feet away. When they come, give them a treat. Then move foward another few feet, when you call them put your hand down so they see the treat again, they come, you reward them again with a treat, etc. I only did this once with mine, and he still comes when called to this day.

Of course.

My parents had a cat, Polly, who never failed to come when called. She would even sit down in front of you, as though she were a dog.

My previous cat, Sara, never failed to come when I called her and told her it was time for our walk.

There needs to be a reward, or the training won't work. For Polly, the reward was attention. For Sara, the reward was going out on her leash.

Sure! I have had lots of cats over the years, some were very smart and a couple that were dumb as a box of rocks, but they all learned to come when called. Give treats, play, brush, or love on them when you call. It doesn't take long.
