I have to laugh, at the guy who said to me. Please read my bible. The bible doesn't say, the Sabbath Day was Changed to the 1st day. Man made that up.

The Sabbath means 7th Day, so that in itself is a contridiction.

Thanks KC Superstar, but Jehovah's Witness are not Sabbath Keepers. They go to Kingdom Hall on Sunday. and have no day of rest.

KC Superstar
you can't say that " If they kept the Jewish sabbath, they probably wouldn't be here right now." Its 8:40pm Saturday where I am at, Sabbath is over, and If it wasn't I am not breaking the Sabbath by being on the computer talking about scriptures, does that even make sense to say?

LizardMam, sorry to Hear about your church going off the deepend, But YOU CAN'T KEEP GODS commandments for other people, you keep it to show God you love Him. Nothing should take you away from that. I was also in the same situation as you, but Keeping the Sabbath means resting at the least, do that, don't spend money, visit other Sabbath churches too.

We kept Sabbath for 18 months with a non-denominational Hebrew Christian group. Unfortunately, they went off the deep end, perverted the scripture, and became a cult in every sense of the word, so we high tailed it on out of there! Haven't kept Sabbath since.

FOLLOWUP: Mornings, thank you. You are right. It has been a process of healing, and we had to pull back into a foundational church. All things Hebrew had to take a back burner while we refocused on the Lord and got re-grounded. We weren't there for long after this happened, but it was an incredibly destructive experience. We're starting to find the right balance at this time, just focusing on Him and letting Him lead. It seems that there are so many Hebrew frings groups that move into cultism (at least in TX) and it's hard for us to trust the movement at the moment. Thank you for your words. Sorry you experienced something similar.

Yes, I'm a Sabbath Keeper. Seventh Day Adventist. Jehovah's Witness's are not Sabbath keepers. They worship on Sunday. She is asking about people who go to Church on Saturday.

I don't believe Christians are required to keep the Sabbath, but it's a good idea to keep it, because all of the rules God put in the Bible had a purpose. It's been shown that hand washing (which God required), reduces illness, same with eating Kosher. As for the Sabbath, it's necessary for a human to have at least one day of rest.

Also I don't believe they day of Saturday is important for it, just as long as you have a day of rest.

If they kept the Jewish sabbath, they probably wouldn't be here right now.

Sabbatarians include: Seventh-Day Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Church of God (my grandfather's denomination, at least), and most sects of Judaism.

Lakewood Church Houston. We remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy, however that may not mean to us the same as it does to you, so I may be a bit off key for you here.

NOTHING WAS CHANGED!!! God sanctified the sabbath day, sabbath equals the seventh day. God himself rested on the seventh day after creation. Sabbath day is holy. God bless.

My chum refuses to place money into Sunday or circulate out on Sunday provided that that motives human beings to paintings. Oh and that i'm no longer a Christian yet i think of I fulfilled the question requirement so why did you exclude human beings?
