It's actually NOT a sign of aggression. If it were, the butting of your kitty's head on your leg would be followed by a trip to the doctor to stop the profuse bleeding coming from your calf.
Cats have scent markers, if you will, on many parts of their bodies. Heads, cheeks, pads (on their paws), their butts (well, actually the anal glands, but I digress). Any of these places can be used when they want to mark their territory. When a kitty 'kneads' on you, sure, they're wanting to be all cuddly and sweet and cute and all that good stuff. Bottom line is, they're definitely marking territory. If it were a sign of aggression, I wouldn't be able to be here right now, 'cause there are two cats butting their heads against my legs, and Miss Melody always kneads my tummy every night before night-time cuddles. I would never be able to sleep - I'd always be at the Doctor's office!

I was so amused when I realized they were rubbing the scent glands on that part of their heads on me. It is still a sign of loviness. That means they are marking you. This is MY mommy. This indicates that they are feeling very comfortable and secure.

They speak with body language. They say hello and show affection. My cats will also touch me when they lay next to me. Reach out when I walk in a room. Purr at me. In door cats have alot of personality. Yeah they are marking you too. They tell any other cat you come into contact with you are all ready owned by them.

Cara's correct. It's not affection, they're "marking" you with their scent glands.
