Best thing I can tell you is to go to the store, pick the color that you want.....and go home and follow the directions closely. If you have any friends that can help that would be alot cheaper than going to a salon. Best of luck to you.

Part your hair in sections and apply color to roots first. Once roots are covered, come the dye through to the ends of hair. Make sure you use all the color and saturate hair completely. Leave on for the quoted time on the directions. Then rinse all color from hair completely and use a good conditioner. Style as usual.

From past experience I would strongly suggest you go to a professional that you trust. I have dyed my hair many times myself when I was younger and, wow, have I ended up with some messes. Once I turned my hair orange by mistake. A friend of mine turned her hair green. Not pretty!!

ehhh....if its ur first time i would definitely recommend going to a salon!! ask ur stylist if he/she has any at-home pointers because he/she could probably tell you some better advice than i could. hey, she does this for a LIVING!! ask them!! other than that....i would recommend starting out with a shade thats not that noticeable, but kinda noticeable...if that makes any sense....and practice practice pratice!!! when ur feeling more confident, u can try like bolder colors and stuff! hope that helped.... good luck!!! xoxo, caitlyn

Buy a kit at the store, for the shade you want, or go to a salon, and let them do it for you... which is a really better idea.
