It's only a joke... If there are people who actually think it's for real, then I really feel for them as they really lack any sense of logical thinking and must have a hard time surviving this world...

I actually SAW the flying spaghetti monster when I was but a child of about 8. I was spinning around rapidly with a plate of spaghetti and the monster appeared!!! This is a true story.

Of course not. We only use the Flying Spaghetti Monster to mock theists. Believing in the FSM is just as ridiculous as believing in the existence of God. When theists criticize the "belief" in the FSM, they are also criticizing there own beliefs in God. That's the whole point.
