I am an Evangelical Christian and I am and was against the invasion of Iraq.
I believe there are times when a nation is justified in going to war to defend itself or an ally. Iraq was not that.
Those Christians who do support the war in Iraq do so because they were convinced that:
1. Bush is a Christian and therefore could not lie (whether the first part is true or not I can't tell, but the second part is certainly not true)
2. Iraq was threatening the world and the USA with atomic bombs and chemical weapons of mass destruction (which it did not have)
3. Iraq was responsible for the 9/11 attack, which is definitely not the case.
In other words, the believed the President of the United States. They are guilty of being gullible, and of not seeking information for themselves.
In North America, many Christians and non-Christians alike, seem to lack the ability to think critically.
In Western Europe, I believe most Christians were strongly against the invasion of Iraq.
EDIT:
Many Christians, particularly Mennonites, are against all war, and believe that it is unchristian to bear arms. Many of those have suffered for holding those beliefs. I don't share their point of view, but I prefer it to the "Christian Right".

I call myself a Christian and I support the war in Iraq. Why? I believe it to be a 'just' war.
Not that I'm comfortable with any war, I don't consider myself a warmonger. However, Saddam was a monster who tortured his own people! I believe he was delusional and a serious threat to Israel as is Iran.
I feel the previous poster was wrong in stating that 'no Christian supports war'. Read the Old Testament, there were plenty of instances where the Hebrew nation was commanded to make war.
There are no easy answers to this question and to try to answer completely would create a book here, lol. I tried to keep it brief.
And in case anyone feels I can say this comfortably because I'm too remote from it to be affected: Sadly, we buried a good friend of my husband's last weekend who died a hero in Iraq watching out for his buddies.

I will be honest with you. Other than Vietnam, which I also lived through, I think Iraq is one of the biggest messes this country has ever gotten into. I ask myself this question, would the world be a better place if we had minded our own business and never deposed Sadaam Hussein. I don't have an answer, because there is no way to know what may have happened if we had left him in power.
I honestly don't know what to think. It's such a huge mess now.

I do because I support our troops and I dont want the 2nd largest oil fields in the middle east to be in the hands of Muslim extremists. The reasons for going were just, the reasons for staying and making sure it gets done right and MORE than justified. National security cant have it any other way!

Everyone knows it is two groups of Islamic extremists fighting over oil revenues. To the point they would rather kill each other than share.

"The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is his name."
I would rather be fighting terrorism in somebody else's backyard then in my own.
I'm a soldier, and i can tell you that the war on terror is necessary. believe me.
