12 rounds, super middleweight division. Who wins?

To be perfectly honest I have no Idea who would win this match and it's really a shame we never got to see it. It would have been a classic in my opinion. There were some excellent arguments made in favor of both fighters. Eubank was more powerful and more explosive and he would probably be the aggressor in this match. But B - Hop is the better technician ot the two and I think that he would be able to hold his ground here. If it went the distance I believe Bernard would take it, but Eubank was a man most definitely capable of stoping this at any time so I really don't know. In my opinion overall chances would be something like 51 - 49 in favour of Hopkins perhaps.
Anyway, I'll leave it to the forum to decide this one. Thank you all for answering.

In my opinion, this wouldn't be a good match up at all, Eubank would pressure Hopkins and hurt Hopkins with the heavier blows. I've never been a Hopkins fan. In my opinion he came along when the middleweight division was dead of talent, so Bernard's thing was to call out Jr. Middles, De La Hoya and Trinidad and the only time he did step up to the plate and fight someone where the tangibles were a bit even he lost, once to Roy Jones and twice to Taylor.
Eubank was a animal in the ring, a bit arrogant but heck, he was tough unfortunately he fought most in England and the people in the US who weren't die hard boxing fans probably never had the chance to see what a talent he truly was in his prime.
Chris would stop Bernard in the 7th round of a fight that would see Bernard holding a awful lot and not wanting to mix it up.
Thanks for the question.

Hopkins, a smart ring technician who could box or bang, very economical with punches until he got you hurt, excellent defensively. Eubank, flamboyant, confident, would go toe toe if the time was right and had good speed of foot and hand . Eubank in the pre fight would try to embarrass Hopkins but Bernard would woof right back. I think this would motivate Hopkins to give the best performance of his career. Hopkins makes Eubank press the fight then seizes his opportunity when Eubank gets careless/comfortable and knocks him out in round 9.

Eubank could beat anybody if they just stand there and trade blows and brawl, but he could be out boxed. I think Hopkins might be too technically sound for him and would win a decision, but Eubank could end the fight at anytime and would land more power shots. Too much show in boxing.

Hopkins would hold his own against Eubank. Hopkins wins by decision.
