Your pup should see the vet ASAP. Your vet will set you up on a schedule for vaccinations and boosters, and give your dog a good exam to make sure everything is ok.
Your vet can also recommend some foods and feeding instructions to you.
Make sure to start the new puppy out right with grooming and training too. Get him groomed, and socialized with people and other dogs as soon as he has his shots. Enroll him in training classes, too. Get off on the right foot and you'll save yourself a LOT of headaches down the road.
Good luck with the new pup!

You should take your puppy to the vet as soon as you can for a general health check. You should also talk to your breeder about what shots your puppy have already had. But at your visit to the vet, your vet will provide with a schedule of vaccination for your puppy.

About dietary needs, feed your puppy the same food that the breeder has been feeding. This will lower the chance of it having upset stomachs. If you feel the need to switch foods, do it slowly, feeding a mix of new and old food over time. If you feed can food, you have to be careful of bad breath, and take care that your dog gets regular teeth cleanings in the future.

When it comes to dry food, there are some controversy. Some believe that by-products and things like corn are fillers, and not digestible for dogs. Some good brands that I know of are Innova, Natural Balance, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. But the bottom line is, it's no good if your dog won't eat it. See if you can get some samples from the pet store if you want to switch brands. Also, some stores offer a refund policy if your dog won't eat it! Here's more info on dog food in general:

Your pup can have his 1st jab now and again in 2wks time.Feeding depends on personal preference really, what was he beeing fed by the breeder?the vets will give you some good brands to try your pup on.Just because your pup hasn't had his jabs yet doesn't mean you cant carry him around to socilise him,it's vital that a pup is socilised well when young.Good luck.
