They are afraid! Cats have a keen sense of smell and they do communicate with one another.Please keep your cats inside where it is safe. Next time a coon or whatever it was that got ahold of your cat could kill one of them.It is far to dangerous to let your cats run around outside.

Your cats are freaking because of the scent. If your cats are spayed and neutered they'll stay closer to the homestead, which they probably are so I'll get off that band wagon. Maybe know they have more fearful of the dangers and learn to keep away from the evil that lerks.
