I went into the Add/Remove windows componts wizrd and removed "Accessories and Utilites" (to save room on my hard drive) Now I need to turn it back on but it tells me to use the Win XP CD. Wich the PC did not come with when we got it.

What do I do from here?

If you have recovery console on the hard drive, turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F8 key after the first startup screen appears. Select Recovery Console using the arrow and Enter keys
On the Windows XP Setup screen there are three options. Press the R key to select To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console
or do this To recover a deleted file, simply use the Restore Wizard. For a full system restoration, press the F11 key during bootup and then select "Recover PC" from the menu.

You need to check with the PC vendor and ask if there is a Windows CD that supposed to come with the PC upon purchase. If they say that you need to buy the Windows CD separately, then you need to buy it. The Windows CD is a must for you. If your Windows becomes corrupted or damaged by virus later on, then there's nothing that you can do if you dont have the Windows CD. So better have it.

You can try the recovery process as recommended by the other posters. I guess that in the process of doing so, you'll still be asked for the Windows CD. But try them first just the same.

I did the same thing last week actually. I found that after that, I lost all my themes. All that I had to do was go back to that area, and click the little box again, and it automatically re-installed them again. All these are just being copied from the I386 folder anyway, so I'm a little confused why it would need the disc. Damn Microsoft, eh? Paranoia at it's best!

go back to add/ remove when you get hit add/remove components when it comes back up did you uncheck anything when you it removed something then recheck it then hit next and it should come back on if this doesn't help then you will need to get a hold of microsoft and let them know the problem you are having and they will send you a disc.
