I've tried all of the home remedies for acne and nothing worked. However, the best thing I have ever come across for pimples is "Precision - Controle Imperfections" by Chanel. It's about $25-$30 and a small tube will last you 1-2 years. You only need a small drop (like the size of a head of a pin) and use it twice a day. It will clear up my pimples in about 4 days; but when left untreated they usually last for 2 weeks.

I've never heard about the honey, but I've heard & tried the toothpaste. It must be the "paste" & not the "gel". The paste dries out the zit. The gel does not dry very well, it's a goopy consistancey and have a few different ingrediants compared to the paste. The gel just smears & sticks all over your face. The paste stays in place & dries out the zit.

I were given a nasty pimple on my nostril very last week and that i did not have any clay cream left so after interpreting about toothpaste on yahoo solutions I utilized it two times an afternoon for 3 days and it DID dry my pimple out a touch besides the undeniable fact that it also BURNT my epidermis. Bits of epidermis peeled off my nostril in the bathe and the area around the pimple grow to be left very pink and sore. So for those of you who're in search of for a short pimple fix in destiny, i'd attempt clay cream quite!

Don't put toothpaste on anything but your teeth!!! I just recently helped this girl who said she put toothpaste on a pimple that was on her nose and the toothpaste burned a mark on her nose. It looked horrible and she needed help to cover it up. Use stuff that is made especially for acne only unless you want to deal with some of the same problems that she did. I suggest you just try to tough it out since you don't know how to take care of acne.

URBAN MYTH...Tried this remedy in HS and it burned the heck outta my face..I ended up with a dark spot that was worse than the original pimple. Try washing your face and then wet your washcloth with water as hot as you can stand..Squeeze excess water from washcloth and apply it to your face until you feel the cloth cool down. This will help draw the pimple to a head. If you have a urge to squeeze, squeeze with the warm washcloth. That way, you don't scar or bruise the skin, and you don't transfer bacteria from your hands to the pimple. Then apply an OTC cream overnight. I use something called "Black and White Ointment" ...It works for me like a charm.
It's a little smelly but it does the trick if you have at least a day to work on the pimple.

Don't use gel toothpaste. Those don't work, that's why most pepole say that toothpaste doesn't work. Most toothpastes are gel and it's hard to find a pasty one.

I've tried both, and gel doesn't do anything but smudge all over your face.

Sorry, I don't remember which paste one i used. I think it was the one i got from the airplane though :/

I was never daring enough to try toothpaste on a zit, but I have used a dot of hand soap. Without using water, rub a little hand soap gel into the zit. It tries out the zit overnight and shrinks it down.

This shouldn't be used often, but maybe a day or two before an important event, like prom or whatever.

the toothpaste thing was a myth. recently dubunked by Allure magazine. And my dermatologist also told me that this myth exists because way back when toothpaste contained primarily salcylic acid. now days most tooth paste on contains too many additives for whitening and tarter control. and if you put on your pimple, it may actually make it worse. unless you have medicine from dermatologist or proactive or something, you are better off crushing up an aspirin and making paste with water.

i dont no why you cant put the gel one on but i know that its supposed to be the paste one. honey is good because it draws out the bacteria from a pimple. i dont know about honey nd toothpaste together though. try it nd see. who knows it might work. but if you put toothpaste overnight it dries out the pimple.

The only problem with toothpaste is that it gets all over your pillow. Its annoying to get off in the morning too because its stuck on your skin real good. I wouldn't use the toothpaste method. It didn't help me that much.
