My grandbaby swallowed a bug of some sort while playing outside the other day. I am not worried about it. However, I was wondering, if our stomach is filled with acid that can disolve just about anything, how then can a parasite survive , i.e. if your animal has worms and somehow you get it on your hand and transfer it to your mouth, how does it survive with all that acid?

Just do a websearch on "human parasites" and read through the listed sites. Also, www.dr.natura.com has some very interesting reading and photos that you wouldn't believe!
