Yes, even some grown men are intimidated by a woman who is smarter/more educated/earns more. Society has gotten them so used to being dominant that many can't handle not being "better" than a female.
That just shows how weak they truly are. If the guy can't handle your intellect, then move on. You will find a man that will be in awe of your mind, body and soul one day, and who will appreciate all of you.
Only lazy, weak boys take the mealy apples from the bottom; the clever boys will climb the trees to get the apples on top, because they know they are the tastiest from all of the sunlight.

It's definitely possible. I've always done really well in school and I never had a boyfriend in junior high or high school, but as soon as I got to college I started dating and my boyfriend (now my husband) couldn't understand why boys weren't into me before (so obviously it's not that there's something wrong with me)!
If this boy thinks you're too much to handle just because you're smart, I don't think he's the sort of boy you want to go out with. You want someone who respects you and admires you for how you are. And if you don't end up finding him while you're a teenager, well, I know that's hard because I've been through it, but eventually you'll meet more mature boys who will love you for being the way you are. Don't lower your standards and especially don't try to dumb yourself down to get boys interested!

Hmm, I call the smart girls when i've got hw trouble or am too lazy to do the hw.
Trust me, I'm near the top of the class, and I've never tried to go for smart girls cause they're hellla annoying. Period. All of them. They're all damn stuck up with their ideas that they alone are the only smart people in the world, i'm guessing you're not like that but they ruined it for you anyways.
So to answer...nobody reaches for the apple on the top cause the apples up there look good, but we all know they taste bad.

The answer is yes. Most men are intimidated by powerful women. I personally think that is absolutely amazing to be in a relationship with a strong woman, the only thing that sucks is that they can really dump you for the next big thing. But did you know that Casanova also loved strong women? Interesting . . .

He's just afraid that he might say something that may sound stupid to you- if you like him then let him know you can be more than just a girl who is really smart- Guy have that cell in their genes that makes them "protect" what is theirs- all he wants is to feel like he's smart too. But if he blows you off like that then move on-you'll find someone who understands you the way you want.
Good Luck.

ohmygosh i am the same way.
i feel like im too sophisticated for my age (16) and guys are overwhelmed by me because i act and dress older than i am, and im smarter than most of them.
i think its sad when guys reach for the bottom apples =]
more mature boys and older ones reach for the top apples. they will figure out what is really valuable later in life- dont worry

There are some young guys who get VERY intimidated by a smart girl... because they know they can't get away with stuff. Think about it; a guy may think he can get away with certain things... but if they are in a relationship with a girl who isn't dumb, and don't take bull-sh*t then- What can he do? -

Teenage guys are intimidated by girls like that. They haven't lived long enough to appreciate them. At this age, they're perfectly happy with dumb girls who are insecure enough to do absolutely anything. This is why I recommend dating after college — we women mature faster, and we know what we're in for.

i like a girl who is intelligent it's nice to have an actual conversation that has meaning behind it...i like smart girls and don't want one who has no clue what i am saying...self confidence is so imprtant in a girl...who would want a girl who is insecure...that just causes problems
