Most chutneys are used with cold cooked meats ,apple chutney i would say would go lovely with pork ,also some chutneys can be used to make a nice homemade curry, no you do not have to heat it.

Have you tried a turkey sandwich with a little chutney spread on, then a few lettuce leaves? I don't like chutney all that much, but I do love this and thought you might like it too.

Apple chutney goes best with porkchops. It may sound strange but it IS the best combination.
I sometimes have chutney with grilled meats too...

If you don't like the smell, stir it into a sausage casserole, as the taste will probably be better.
Or try it in a bacon sandwich.
Or invite some mates round and serve it on a platter along with: cheese, celery, grapes, cold hams & french bread. One way to get rid of it!

When eating any cold meat of your choice, try a little on it.
If the taste is to your pallate then keep it.
Alternatively, you can spread it on your sliced meat then layering it with lettuce and sliced tomato or sliced cucumber as the case maybe in your sandwich and/or roll.
Basically it is an alternative to pickle or piccalilli which are other forms of accompaniment.
If you are not sure what they are, then you know what to ask next time.

No. You don't have to heat it. It is nice with water biscuits (crackers) and cheese and also with some meats; like pork and turkey sandwiches.
