I have this crush on this guy. He is in my PE period. (I'm in middle school.) My friend told me that when he was in elementary school, he was smart, but now, he's not that smart anymore and he's only good in his language arts class. What should I do? Should I continue liking him or should I try and stop liking him?

But you see, I'm considered really smart and my friends feel like me dating a kinda dumb guy is kinda wrong and doesn't look/sound/feel right. Should I listen to them?

I dont know how old you are but I would take no notice of my so called friend as being smart or dumb has nothing to do with liking someone. If you have a crush on him maybe you could help him with subjects he is not so good at although he may not like you he still might appreciate any coaching.

I think your friends are a little stuck-up and snotty. Who are they to tell you who to like!!. Who says the boy is "not that smart" anymore!! If you like him, go for it. He could be very smart in other areas. As long as he's a good person and treats you well, who cares if he's not a genious.

No one can "try" to stop liking someone. You either like them, or you don't. Is it really that big of an issue that he's not as smart as he used to be?
