My boyfriend and i have been fighting with his brother & his girlfriend for 6 months now.

They were supposed to move into our 2 bedroom apartment when we moved out, alas, taking over our contract. FOUR days before we move, they call us up and tell us "Oh... we're not moving" . No explanation, nothing. We havent spoke to them since.

We were screwed out of getting our security back ($600) and are STILL paying for TWO apartments now, since we didnt find anyone else to move in (contract is up in June). Only 2 days ago, the brother calls to say "sorry" and thats it. I think before we even BEGIN to start "its okay'ing"... they need to pay us back our $600 security deposit that we lost at LEAST. What do you guys think?....

Oh, and P.S This is not the FIRST time this has happened. we should have known better than to trust them with "responsibility" of any kind... but its his BROTHER for christ sake, and they screwed us financially big time..

Family is really bad for screwing you over financially. If you don't want to pretend everything is okay, don't. You do not have to forgive and forget. If you continue on the path you are on, you will be enabling their behaviour. You give, they take. It sounds like they are adults, it's time they grow up. Perhaps if they realize they can no longer take you for granted, they will try to correct the situation. My husband and I have been burned by both our families.

You'll better off them with out any un-nessasry, Family argument. Once in life you learned a lesson and do not trust anybody when you dealing with money or any other buisness. Friendship and Buissness won't go to gether. I've been screwedup by the Friends a large amount of cash and i let it go. But, not family members and usually family members trying to help one another in generally. You still keep relationship with your brother, but, do not ever deal with the Finance. Money cann't buy people, or family.Try to work it out. I know thei're so many amony fmily members are not talking, angry for some reason and it's hard to erase it. Just let it go.Start a fresh life with your Brother and learn the mistake.

Well to make a long story short.
We live and learn.
Write it off as a lesson learned.
Do not let this come between these two brothers. Let it go.

You will see some day how wise this advice is. Life is to short.
Christ forgave you, your sins. Can we not do the same for others?
That is what Christ would have us do, and carry no grudges,
only love. That's what the Father has for us, LOVE,PEACE,JOY.

Well if they haven't signed a contract you are out the money, you and your b/f need to stop letting them do this to you.You both need to tell them don't never ask us to do anything else for either of you, put your foot down you are allowing them to do this to you..
