I need some ideas for the Mother/Son Dance portion of my wedding. My fiance's mother doesn't really listen to music or even care that much. She didn't even know that there WAS a Mother/Son dance at the reception. So I told her that I would come up w/ a few songs and let her pick from those. But I really don't know any good songs that fit, not off the top of my head anyway... I NEED HELP!

Try Harry Connick Jr's "A Wink and A Smile."

Many couples these days are choosing to put the mother/son and father/daughter dance together, and I definately recommend it. Try to find a song with a great middle section, usually strumental. It's a great opprotunity to invite other mother/son and father/daughter couples onto the dance floor. It is sweet and a great way to move your guests onto the dance floor.

You know, you don't HAVE to have a mother/son or daughter/father dance. Just have the bride/groom dance and then invite everyone else onto the dance floor.

You know, you don't have to have a mother/son dance. It's no where near as traditional as the father/daughter dance. If she's not into, she might be hinting that she doesn't want to do it at all.

Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. He's Hawaiian and it is the most beautiful song. i am playing it when I walk down the isle but it fits for any moment at a wedding.

Probably best to stick with a classic "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. Its nuetral yet lovely.
