Why has Bush pardoned Johnny Sutton & other Mexican drug dealers but not our own border patrol guards that are just doing their jobs? Many petitions were sent to Bush from Republicans as well as Democrats to pardon the guards that are unjustly imprisioned & have been tortured & beaten in jail, but Bush just keeps on ignoring them. What does he owe these drug dealers & the Mexican government?

That's a good question.

I cannot for the life of me, understand how someone who is the "face of America" so to speak, be so un-patriotic.

This whole border patrol agent situation should be a no-brainer: American authorities who tried to protect America by keeping a law breaking drug dealer out of our country by shooting at him.

They did thier jobs, and more. Give them a medal!

Instead, the U.S. pays the drug dealers medical bills with US tax dollars and allows the law breaking drug dealer to testify AGAINST the American authorities in American Court. Puts the authorities in American jail and allows the law breaking drug dealer to go free.

All Bush had to do was sign a piece of paper and these patriots would have been free. But he didn't.

One of George Bush's reasons for going to war in Iraq was to make them an example, that America will not be pushed around. But, what example is being shown that we give drug dealing border jumpers more rights than our Border Patrol Authorities?

The Mexicans, and probably other countries, are laughing at us for this one. What happened to America.

The only answer I have to your question is: I guess George W. Bush is not an American Patriot, or else he would have signed that paper.

It makes me wonder:

If these were city cops in the inner-city, would they have been put in jail?

Why is this story not all over the news, but Anna Nicole's death is?

Is George Bush in office for America as a nation, or is he in it for his Corporate buddies?

Why are you blaming the Mexican government? The Guards had a trial by a jury 12 American Citizens, they were found guilty. Do you know all the facts of the trial? Do believe everything that is posted on the Internet? Read the court transcripts. Yes, the guard was beaten. But tortured? What are you basing torture on ?
What did Bush pardoned Johnny Sutton for? Under the laws of the land Jimmy Sutton did his job. If the guards follow procedures and the law, and prior warnings to both guards about procedures and hiding evidences. They were reported by their Supervisor and Co-workers. Jimmy Sutton file criminals charged base on their statements, so their Supervisor & co-workers filed false statements?? Are you attacking other Border Agents & Supervisor based on your beliefs or illusions?

Now you are accusing Jimmy Sutton is a Drug Dealer pardoned by the President Bush where are your facts? You are reaching.

This is something that has incensed me no end. These guys were not trying to cover up anything. They were constantly on the move and did not do the paperwork in time. The US attorney who gave immunity to an illegal alien running drugs, that poisons our kids, made me want to hurl. This person needs to lose their job.
I am an immigrant and boy have I been pissed about this. President Dimwit needs to protect our borders and these guys should never have been tried in the first place.
I can damn well bet you that if Lewis " Scooter" Libby is convicted, he'll be pardoned in a heartbeat. It will definitely show the American people Bushs' true colors. His loyalties are to the rich not to everyday Americans out there

President Bush has sold you out and any effort to pardon the agents or close the borders would go against the corporate deals he has made. The North American Union is NAFTA on steroids and will drastically increase the negative effects on all working people, already happening, in both Mexico and the US. This deal will open the border with Mexico!

The reason is N.A.F.T.A., which has problems, specifically the sudden and unexpected concentration of wealth, especially in Mexico and the U.S. There are concerted efforts to correct that and other problems associated with N.A.F.T.A.. But, Republican / Conservatives, specifically following Bush, are deliberately reducing the middle class in all three nations in order to have cheaper labor. The unemployment rate in Mexico has already risen over 20%. And, our U.S. communities have been deliberately weakened by Republican / Conservatives by reducing social services and collapsing the fabric of many communities, again, in order to have a "needy" middle class and compliant workers willing to work for nothing. Now, the social collapse secondary to state and federal Republican / Conservative tolerance related to allowing U.S. business owners to criminally invite and hire undocumented workers in order to avoid paying U.S. workers a legal and decent wage is coming home to roost. As our communities collapse under Republican / Conservative gross economic and social mismanagement, the new Superstate between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada has officially been signed by President Bush. Borders are going away. As brought to us by Bush while many were distracted with racist bickerings, we are now one Superstate. N.A.F.T.A., as you know, is an economic alliance between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Without Congressional over-site, Bush this winter signed into law a political extension of that agreement in which the three nations are now the new North American "Superstate" called SPP. All borders are to be "streamlined" and eventually eliminated, major new toll highways are already planned to connect all three nations (including the big one eight football fields wide right up through the center of the new Superstate that the King of Spain will hold the lease and profits from), a common currency (eventually, not at first) and common citizenship. Mexico gets a big chunck of Kansas to use as a staging area for its highway construction and maintenence contracts. The realities of globalization will not go away. And, any moronic racist trying to start war on American soil will be crushed. Any state that attempts to interfer with the "streamlining" of borders and trade between the three nations will become economic wastelands patrolled by U.S. Army tanks. The U.S. middle class must stop listening to their local mealy-mouthed Republican / Conservatives who promote racism, violence, hate, intolerance and backward isolationistic notions. Or, their communities will fail. It takes better problem-solving to deal with changes in our social system and to realistically address our problems than hauling people out into the desert and murdering them. Those states and communities who cling to racism and Conservative feeble-minded backward notions will collapse. They ARE collapsing, and not due to Mexicans. The problems are due to Republican / Conservative plunder of the middle class everywhere and their paradigm that a community belongs only to them. That's plain stupid. Here is the new government's official website:

I think if they built the US/Mexico border fence, along the lines of the bill that got passed last year, there'd be a lot less crime on the border. But, that'd be effective, and take care of the problem...so, can't have that....

He is a the sorriest excuse for a president we could have in office. I am guilty of giving him my vote twice. He has sold the American public out so he can have cheap labor to work his farm in Texas, he is a traitor!!!!!!!! He dosent care anymore about those border guards than he does the rest of the American middle class. Impeach Bush!
Great question, Well put thank you. B. Patrol

I know, what a joke! So much for the rest of the agents having any balls left to defend our country against the invasion. I wish the 911 hijackers would have come in through Mexico that way our govt. would not be such bitches about building the wall.

It started with Reagan and hasn't changed sense. The only thing I can surmise is they are getting kick backs from the cartels. It is obvious to everyone the B.S. Drug War is not and will not work.Keeping Alcohol legal (Hypocrites) and outlawing others only goes to De-value Human Lives. An increases their profit margins.

I'm not finding it. Just more about Feinstein getting the Judiciary Committee to agree to an investigation.
