I just bought a copy of Windows Vista Beta 2 that I got interested with and I thought it could be a cool upgrade for my computer running Windows XP Professional. Mentioning the phrase "Beta 2" in its title, is it safe to run on my computer, or in anyone's computer? Does it have too many bugs? Does it require a product key? And can it run faster than Windows XP Professional?.... can someone please tell me more about Windows Vista Beta 2?

I'm not sure why you would BUY the Vista Beta 2 when the REAL version is out. Maybe you should contact Microsoft about this. Sounds you PAID for something that should have been FREE.

If the version that you have, includes the Windows Updates and it WORKS, then you are GOOD TO GO.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

I put in it on my acquaintances pc (because my pc does not manage it) and were given drained of it after an hour. It jogs my memory countless Mac OS X. Vista and OS X both have a right away search for, both now have "widgets", and it type of feels Vista is attempting to reproduction OS X's interface. the purely element i like became how they blended abode windows Media version center in with Vista... that is about the purely element effective with the accepted public wanting to apply their pc as leisure center. the element i noticed (and is going to make human beings mad) is attempting to apply (what became once Outlook exhibit) abode windows Mail on Vista. each person who would not comprehend what they are doing and attempting to ascertain the POP3 and all that information to get their e-mails, will probably not use that application. I personal/run XP, yet I surely have messed round with a Mac at my acquaintances artwork, so it quite is why i comprehend of Mac OS X. i am going to stick with XP till i'm getting a clean pc pc interior the destiny and they fix all the kinks out of Vista (about a three hundred and sixty 5 days after that's launch)

Somebody saw you coming and took your money! "Beta" means test. The first Beta version of Vista has expired. A previous answer told you that the Beta 2 version will expire in June. That is correct. Get your money back, because the Beta versions were free.

I speak as an expert on computers and it has been declared that Windows Vista Beta 2 is unstable and you will not qualify for updates such as Windows Defender. I advise you to buy Windows Vista immediately( the originalversion, not pirated).

Beta versions are not sold. They are free.
Selling them is illegal.

Yes ... it still requires a key.
I got mine from Microsoft along with the free Beta.

Get your money back.... it will expire by the end of June & become useless.
