I don't understand it either. Is there something we don't know? Possibly. Still, go to congress.org and send him and/or your reps a message.

Why are you blaming the Mexican government? The Guards had a trial by a jury 12 American Citizens, they were found guilty. Do you know all the facts of the trial? Do believe everything that is posted on the Internet? Read the court transcripts. Yes, the guard was beaten. But tortured? What are you basing torture on ? What did Bush pardoned Johnny Sutton for? Under the laws of the land Jimmy Sutton did his job. If the guards follow procedures and the law, and prior warnings to both guards about procedures and hiding evidences. They were reported by their Supervisor and Co-workers. Jimmy Sutton file criminals charged base on their statements, so their Supervisor & co-workers filed false statements?? Are you attacking other Border Agents & Supervisor based on your beliefs or illusions? Now you are accusing Jimmy Sutton is a Drug Dealer pardoned by the President Bush where are your facts? You are reaching.

Bush is ignorant and doesn't want to go against Homeland Security. That would show that once again he picked an idiot for a top post in his administration. Should these guys be pardoned, sure. They should also however recieve some sort of reprimand for covering up a shooting scene and failing to report it. Maybe someone could also answer the question of why the National Guard on the border has orders to pull out if they are confronted by armed individuals.
Before you request an answer to your question you need to be better informed about what actually transcurred. Otherwise you sound ignorant.
Before you call someone else ignorant you might want to use real words. Please find "transcurred" in the dictionary and tell me what it means.

don't forget that the government lied and admitted it lied about supposed evidence against compean and ramos. on top of that the prosecutor suppressed evidence to the contrary, in fact this same prosecutor is now maliciously going another sheriff i think (the guy tried to shoot the tires off of a van full of illegals, and the bullet ricocheted and hit an illegal inside the van, at least one of the illegals in the van admitted that the driver turned around and tried to hit the sheriff/ranger). bush wants approval from the dems, and are throwing the majority of this country's people literally under the bus. If you read the news, Ramos almost did not recieve ANY medical treatment...can you imagine an illegal not receiving treatment or better yet getting beat up in jail?!!! and steven, they did not cover it up, everyone who was there knew that they had shot that runner. in fact the way that the rule was worded, that would have sufficed...if they did cover up shooting that man with 750 pounds of drugs, they would have only received several days suspension...this too according to the border patrol rules and regs....

This is the most outrageous miscarriage of justice I've heard of in years and I can't imagine why Bush hasn't fired that Federal Prosecutor and given the two border patrol agents pardons. Now that drug dealer is suing us for 5 million dollars after being caught sneaking in drugs and shot in the butt! This whole thing makes no sense at all and everyone I've talked to about it is livid.

Um, no, actually. He just signed the petition. I should know-I live in Arizona and listen to the news every morning as I'm driving to school.
But it's pretty damn f*cked up that two of our own guards go to jail for shooting a drug dealer that was here ILLEGALLY. Like seriously, wtf?
Instead of compalin about Bush, why don't you guys complain about Libbo-Janet Nepolitano and her lack of interest on this matter? Or, ask why she vetoed a bill protecting doctors from frivolous lawsuits? ...or number of other things holding down this friggin' hot state.

He still might in a few weeks. I heard that it may be just to set a precedent so the same thing doesn't happen again.
Plus, when he does we might not know about it. Pardons are usually kept secret for about 20 years.

While the Mexican government considered the drug-dealers as terrorists, G W Bush considered them as friends. Maybe these drug-dealers made huge contributions to Bush's election campaigns. Or maybe they supplied Bush with the coke that he used to snort?.

He will pardon them. But it will be at the end of his term. Like every other President does.
He could pardon them now if he had a spine.
I can't believe I voted for that jackass.
