because (for the lack of truely understanding scripture) they feel he is unfair, approves of war or kills innocents, or any other thing they feel about God that makes them reject and deny God. Does that change the fact that there is God who will one day judge you and since you reject and deny him, he will do the same for you?

The only reason you see God this way is because you do not fully understand scripture nor do you take the time to understand it and pick and choose verses with out reading the entire text.

Even though Muslims, Christians, Jews, Jehovah Witness, etc. have different views, and I would go as far as to say that some, unknown to them, are deceived and not worshipping God at all, but they all do believe in God. One God that is almighty, everlasting, creator of the universe. How can so many people be wrong?

Those who do not FOLLOW, not those who do not BELIEVE..... in other words, you believe in God, but don't understand him, so you refuse to follow.

You make sense somewhat to people maybe misunderstanding including me. But the fact is, I cannot force myself to dedicate my life to something that I am not sure is even there. Imagine how big the universe is. Somehow I don't believe any one god has created that or that we have found the right god. There are arguments against my own opinions which I have realized and thought about, but my opinion cannot be changed. The concept of God doesn't do anything for me. If some day I am wrong and am forced to suffer for it, then so be it. I believe I won't though, for I will have spent a good life on earth in which I will have striven to improve the lives of others, and always be the best person I can be. At least I hope I will do that.

Many people approved of slavery, was that right?

But that's beside the point...

You may think you're the only person who has 'understood' scripture but there are many many athiests who have too and are NOT CONVINCED.

I was actually put off Christianity even more after reading the Bible. Yes, the entire thing. I didn't pick and choose. It made me view Christianity in a worse light than I had before.

I believe in Yahweh but I also believe in Odin.
Didn't God himself say He was a jealous God. Most jealous people I know are *******, I can't even begin to imagine what a jealous god would be like.
He also states, in the Bible, that He is the Only God which, to me, makes Him a prideful, vain egotist.
I don't respect this God for those qualities and I most certainly Do Not worship Him.

It's so cute that you actually believe that people don't believe in your god because they don't understand your scripture. Most non-believers of your god used to BE christians, and studied the bible extensively. That's what changes minds, dear.
How can you honestly be sure that you are right and all those billions of others are wrong? You can't can you?
Now let it rest.
Peace

Wow, was that a question or a preaching session?

I am sorry to say it is people like you who give general everyday Christians a bad name.

As for the God bit, I don't believe in God, so if anything relating to God is changed by my lack of belief in him, who I believe not to exist, I would be a very powerful Muppet indeed. No?

I deny the Abrahamic god BECAUSE I understand the scriptures. The only way you do not is if you cherry pick what you believe from the text(s). There is no reason to believe in a deity, and faith flies planes into buildings. So, what are you left with?

A Lord owned a large beautifull land, which had many people living on it whom He loved. One day, the Lord decides to take a journey away from his land. He leaves no body in charge , because every body on the land are his children, both daughters and sons. As time goes by, some of the people begin to lose faith and fear, so much in fact, that they begin to believe that if they do not do certain things, they will be punished when there Father, the Lord, returns.

They give themselves the title of Leader, and begin to preach to others in the land, there belief s, and warn everyone that if they do not do as the Leader says , then there Father, the Lord, shall punish them when He returns.

Some begin to follow the Leader, and others decide not to, for they know How much there Father, the Lord truely loves them.

Yet the Leader and his followers, decide to banish those whom do not follow him, and throw others out of the land.

One day, the Lord of the land, there Father, finally Returns. And when He does, He notices that many of his children were not there.

Asking around , He finds out what happened, and therefore, brings forth to Him, the leader and all the leaders followers.

And the Lord, there Father, asks them ," You sent forth some of my children from there Home here in my land . Why did you do this?"

The leader and his followers answered," We did this for You, showing our love to you we did so in your name too , to cleanse your land my lord father."

With this, the Lord, Father got Very angery, " You did NOTHING for ME ! You have sent forth MY CHILDREN into Darkness and what s worse is You did so In my NAME !! For this YOU shall recieve the SAME punishment you gave those you judged."

And with that said, He banished the leader and all his followers , and threw them out of his land into darkness

Fact? What fact? How is it a fact that God exists?

The Bible saying so does not make it fact. Do you have anything else?

And just so you know, to say that the only reason someone sees something differently than you do is because they don't fully understand it is very patronizing.

I do not follow god because there is absolutely no evidence, of any sort whatsoever, that any such thing exists. The scriptures are too full of errors to be believable. Your claim of a "fact" is completely unsupported -- and hence completely irrational. It follows ineluctably that it is the believers that are wrong.
