Go to your local Ford Dealer. Ask them for a seat belt extension. These should be free. Just snap the extension into the buckle of your seat belt and leave it there and the alarm won't sound. You will need one for each seat being used. But as other people have said, the best and safest way is to wear your belt.

Not sure where they bury this stuff nowadays. I simply removed the annoying buzzer thing that would go off when my seatbelt was not connected or my key was left in the ignition. Very annoying. I just found it, and unplugged it. Had enough of that noise when I was using my truck to move firewood around the backyard at 2 mph tops.

Sometimes they newer vehicles get a little smarter. Disabling some features might result in the car or truck just not starting.

The smartest and most effective thing to do is to just wear the seatbelt. Even if it weren't the law, I would.

Even if you had an owners manual, the do-gooders and nanny state promoters would prohibit Ford from publishing this kind of information to the great unwashed masses anyway. It took years to get our gummint to allow us to disable passenger side airbags so we wouldn't kill children that were strapped into forward facing car seats. Nothing about disabling seat belt alarms in my '04 Ranger manual. I've read most of it.

Ok here is the real answer...

If you disconnect the connector on the seatbelt, usually you have the airbag light come on.... If you get rid of the buzzer, you actually have to get rid of the module that controls the lights if I remember.

The actual way to disarm the buzzer is in the owners manual...

You don't have one you say?

Go here and download the owners manual:
https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp

It should be about the middle of the book

involves a lot of buckling and unbuckling of the seat belt

i own a repair shop and the owners manual wont tell this info anyway ,and neither will a repair manual, its a real good idea to leave it hooked up,if you do plan on wearing it,i can tell you what to disconnect to make the buzzer stop,it is the wire that comes up through the carpet right by where the belt it fastened to the floor board,it just pulls apart ,at that point, but do wear the belt,it may save your life, and someone else,s,and will also keep you from getting a big ticket, good luck,i hope this help,s.

the newer cars, the seat belt warning cannot be disabled. I have found that if you plug in your belt for approximately 5 minutes it will cancel the alarm. or you can do what my father has done and get a belt buckle from a smashed vehicle from the junk yard. Personally I think you should wear your belt, it has saved my life, and could have saved the life of a local 6 year old child, who was unfortunately thrown from her vehicle.

this procedure needs to be done for each seatbelt buckle. i dont recommedn doing it you should wear your seatbelt. get in the vehicle shut the door. turn key on but dont start the vehicle. the red seatbelt lamp will come on for about 1 minute then it will go off. when it goes off buckle and unbuckle the belt 3 times ending in the unbuckled position. turn on the park lamps. turn off the park lamps. then buckle and unbuckle 3 times again ending in the unbuckled position. the seatbelt lamp will illuminate for a few seconds. when it goes out buckle and unbuckle 1 time. that seat is now deactivated. repeat procedure for other seats.

Oh man its compliacted, i did it on my 02 Escape. You have to turn the lights on buckle and unbuckle the seat belt 3 times, then turn the lights off, something like that. Go to Advance or Auto Zone or the LIbrary and look up the manual and write it down or memorize it.

If you wore your seatbelt, the alarm wouldn't go off.
