I never got allowance. But here are some things...

Just your basic household chores. Kids can get really involved with it. It helps you out to.

depends on how old the person receiving the allowance is. I'm 13 so i get 13$ and what i have to do it empty the dishwasher, load the dishwasher, take the trash out, down the driveway, up the driveway, clean my room and bathroom weekly if not more, take down the recycling, we don't own a lawnmower but we have someone come and mow out lawn but other kids my age mow the lawn, i also have to bring the groceries in from the car then put every thing were it belongs.

Vacuum all the common areas in your home. Set and clear the table for meals, doing the dishes if necessary. (Good to alternate this with a sibling.) Keep your room tidy. Take out the trash. Walk the dog. Sweep the garage and patio/steps.

Basicly everything that your mom does or did. Everything involoved in cleaning the house or picking up stuff in the yard cleaning garage, cars, etc

My kids 9,8,7 have to have homework done and their room clean and then they can do chores for money. Help with dinner and clean up, laundry, dishes etc.
