Living - You live your life as best as you could.

Being right - You'll die before anyone can prove you wrong.

THOSE are the only two options? Surely not!

"You'll die before anyone can prove you wrong" - surely this could only apply to the terminally religious? Hence the incredulity - no-one would choose to die for the sake of an argument.

It all depends on whether fully living requires undermining the power base of some other position. this seems to be the case with politically active Abrahamic believers; they must be fought to remove their ideologies from government.

Neither. The essential thing is to be correct yourself, and the only way to come close to assuring that is to scrutinize in minute detail every "fact" with which one comes into contact. Religious people do not do this.

there is nothing wrong with a good debate. Wrong or right we will all find out some day. But above all have a good life!

I agree. I think as human beings we often forget who we are, and who each other are. Are we aethists or Christians or Muslims before we are human? When we are so set on tearing each other down, we are reviling our own. We should focus more on what we have in common, on what we can add to society, and on who we are. Yes, we should have different beliefs. But we should respect others' beliefs as well.

Living!
You can be so focused on proving how right you are that you do it in a wrong attitude.

Living. Whether the other guy is wrong or not doesn't amount to a pile of manure.
