Good try, but this will dry out your hair. Wash your hair to get the lemon juice out. Towel dry your hair and put on a good conditioner and put on a plastic shower cap( or wrap your hair with plastic wrap.Wait 20 minutes and rinse, rinse, rinse with clear water. Next time try a product made just for bleaching and follow the directions.

Some people say that putting lemon juice on your hair will make it go blonde.

It only works if your hair is very blonde naturally anyway...and the results even then are suttle. Much like you would get from the sun bleaching it etc. You are supposed to apply then go in the sun.

To be honest all it will do to your hair is make it very dry. Id wash it off if I were you and apply a nice conditioning mask.

If you want highlights the best thing to do is go to the salon and have them done professionally.

Good luck :)

Leave the lemon juice on for awhile, and rinse it out. There will be enough left in your hair that the sun will catch and help to make your hair lighter. There used to be a product on the market in grocery stores called "Sun In"--It is supposed to have a high success rate to help you lighten your hair ( I never wanted to lighten mine that way). FYI: No matter which way you go, by common sense, both will eventually dry your hair a little--put conditioner in it--VO5 is good. It will help maintain the PH balance that your hair naturally needs. Good luck!

Wash it out and do a deep conditioner treatment; lemon juice will damage your hair. Have a professional or trusted friend help you put in some highlights.

Well, I have never heard of using lemon juice to lighten hair. But I have heard of it as a substitute for a Malibu treatment to strip impurities out. All you do is wash it out after you have left it in for a bit.

Just leave it in and go about your business as you normally do. Go out into the sun, i am taking it you live where you are able to get in the sun alot this time of year, and hopefully the lemon juice will bring out the highlights naturally.

When you put lemon in your hair you are to go out in the sun right after. I would just use sun-in it works much better and you can either go in the sun or use a blowdryer.

If you're trying to lighten your hair you'd go into the sun with your hair still wet from the lemon juice. After sitting in the sun until your hair lightens, you'd shower and shampoo it out. If you're trying to do something else ... I don't know.

go out in the sun for an hour or so. I hope there IS sun outside where you are. then wash, dry as usual. My mom used to do this to bring out our natural highlights. lots of compliments for a couple of litle blonde girls.

P.S. don't use sun-in. it's pure hydrogen peroxide, and will turn your hair brassy. ugly.
