Im very curious about this. No, Im not gay but I have not gotten that far in to reading the bible. Thanks

The bible tells us that no matter how hard we try and strive to do, we cannot and will not be able to follow it in its entirity.

If we could have or could, there would have been no reason for Jesus Christ to come and pay our death penalty for our inability to do so.

But, to answer your question simply, yes, if you read and accept the bible, sexual relationships with the same sex is wrong. and if you do not accept this point, it means that you have rejected God in his entirity, for the bible states you accept all of it, or you reject it all. Its not a buffet line, to pick and choose what you like or dislike.

There is no one sin that will condem you to Hell more than another, and that includes being gay. The same question could be asked about a person who has a habit of telling white lies. It's all sin and all equal in God's eyes. If you have accepted Christ into your life then you are covered by the blood of Christ.
However, as a Christian you have an earnest desire to live your life in a manner that is pleasing to God.
Some may ask, what is a gay person to do if they become a Christian? The few people I know who have delt with this have chosen to remain celebate. They struggle with it daily, but all Christians struggle with some temptation or another daily.

So the basic anwser to your question is no, but it will keep them from maturing as a Christian and hamper your closeness with God.

Homosexuality is an abomination of God. It is a sin according to the Bible. Read 1 Corinthians chapter 6 verses 9 & 10. Says it all there.

Bible gives a list of rules to follow....the 10 commandments. God says we can be forgiven of these sins if we ask for it.

But elsewhere in the bible it states that no man shall lay with another man nor with a beast. meaning no gay nothing and no animal sex.

not sure if this falls under the same forgiving of sins or not.

A person is saved or not depending on whether they have trusted Jesus as their Saviour, not by trying to follow God's commands, because we all have/will sin. Of course a Christian should want to try their best to follow God's commands. That doesn't mean they won't make mistakes or be tempted, but they should ask for Gods help to not ' give in' to the temptation.

Let me tell you about the testimony of a friend. He had become a Christian before i did. When he chose to follow Christ, he realized that he had the choice to follow Christ or follow his sin.

He realized that he could either live the gay lifestyle, or live the way that God commanded him to live. He told his gay friends this, and they rejected him. He wound up having to choose his friends or his Savior. He chose his Savior or his friends, and his life has been a blessing for it.

Case in point... if you choose to follow Christ, but live in the world and the sins of the world, are you truly following Christ and sold out to him?

If you seriously make a committment to Christ, he will help you to overcome those things that are bothering you in your life. I was addicted to porn and online gaming. (over 80 hours a week for 3 years). When I came to Christ, my desire and lust for both INSTANTLY was driven away. And while not everyone's testimony is not a 100% instantaneous change, there are lots of then where the person has overcome an addiction or sin simply through faith and making the choice to follow Christ.

My own opinion... and this is likely the opinion of many others - if you are sold out to Christ, you will realize where you are wrong in your life. If you continue to prefer to live in your sin, it is unlikely that you ever were sold out to Him in the first place.

Gay people won't/can't be in heaven. God hates gayness, but loves everyone the same. Just because comeone is gay doesn't mean that God won't accept you, but, forgiveness is derived of 2 different words which mean repentance, and never commiting that mistake again. Human nature make us commit sin after sin, but I have good news for you, that's why Jesus died for us, so we can be forgiven of our sins time after time. If repentance is for real, and a gay person comes out of gayness and into God's glory, I will see you in Heaven my friend. God bless

The Bible teaches that it only takes one sin to cause death. Jesus said in the Garden of Eden that the day you sin you will die. Eve ate the forbidden fruit and then Adam followed and they both started to die at that very moment. In less than 1000 years they were both buried. The Bible also says that to God a day is as a thousand years. Interesting how that works out.

True repentance for sin and a request to God for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ and an honest attempt to not sin again is all that is needed to restore one's link to God, the only and constant source of all life, and this is called salvation which results in eternal life.

Any repeated sinful act that is not completely given up with God's help, could result in eternal death. God is the only person that can tell who would repent and cease to sin under ideal conditions. He will save as many people as possible under His just laws.

People who prefer sin and prefer to continue sinful acts will not live eternally. They will die and will totally cease to exist for all eternity.

It seems to me that many homosexual people who continue to have sex with other people of their same gender have decided that their kind of sex as long it is monogamous is not sin. They are convinced that God made them homosexual so for them it is okay as long as they only have homosexual sex with one person or is it one person at a time as long as that person is their only partner until they break up. I have a difficult time explaining this, but I think it goes something like that. I don't understand how they interpret Leviticus 18:22 or the 7th commandment in Ex. 20 and about 20 other verses in the Old and New Testaments, but somehow they are convinced that those verses do not apply to their situation. Those texts only apply to the pagans of the day who had many homosexual partners over a very short time, or something like that, I think.

I am just trying to be helpful and love everyone. Don't get me wrong I am not the least bit, not a tiny bit, "judgmental." That would be terrible. I am not even discriminating. I am so non judgmental I can not even discern one difference between any one person and any other person. In fact, I am very nearly perfect.

Hi !!!

If you really want to know about the Bible , you should read it!!!

I have and I know that there are a specific list of people that would NOT be part with GOD, as GOD doesn't like their practices!!!

But it also says that if you accept JESUS THE LORD, as your savior, and recognize HIM as GOD'S son, GOD will lift up, all your sins and there will be forgotten, this is if the person never do it again!!!

GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE

A.Z.

Thats a hard answer

It does say that they will have their part in hell, but Jesus does forgive you sins, and when there is alot of sin, there is even more grace.

Jesus does say, you call me lord, but why do you not do the things I tell you to do.

I think if they try their best to stop being gay, they might be alright, but if they say, I'm going to be gay and I just don't care, then I don't know.

I think you would have to pray that God will help you to do whats right and try your best, and I think you would be forgiven for slipping up once in a while.

I think people misinterpret what God is truly saying...the Law is the old testment. It is just and every strike of the pen will be accounted for...so then who can be saved? Have we not all lied? Well, then it is by grace through faith that we may be forgiven, not by any works (nothing we do could ever satisfy the wrath of God), but the sacrafice of Jesus on the cross, the payment for sins. God desires relationship, by receiving Him we are saved! If we believe in Him! Then we spend time with Him and walk the road with Him! We are all sinners, there is not one who has no sin except for Jesus. Everyone needs a relationship with Jesus praise God and It is free! He sees your heart, he knows your every thought...As we pray we are to find a quiet place...God does not refuse a humble and contrite heart...He loves you, He loves everyone, but He gives us the choice to receive Him or not. Free will, but for those who choose His will can be assured of Him! So, then if you follow all of the law but 1 you are sure to die! We cannot be saved by following the law...we will see less consequences by following the law, but it is accepting Jesus into your heart that assures our salvation! He is faithful though we are not...Ifwe confess our sins to Him, He is faithful to forgive us our iniquity, Thank God! Pray to Him ask Him in and He will lead you and set you free! Free from sin, free from religion (rules) that bars the entrance into heaven. It is Christ alone that saves sinners like me.
