Children heal cuts faster. However, they are also full of growth hormones and children after healing are more prone to prolonged red hypertrophic scars. Eventually the scar will fade.
The skin can only heal by scar.
Eyelid skin is very thin. Thin skin generally heals with thin scars.
Thick skin like the back and shoulders are prone to thick scars. Nose skin is intermediate.
Good luck.
Consider Mederma, Kelocote, or Neosporin scar solutions after the wound heals about a week or so.

Kids are less prone to scarring because they produce more new skin cells more quickly thanks to them being younger. As you get older your skin produces new skin cells at a slower rate and makes the likelihood of scarring higher. If your child does get a scar it will most certainly lighten over time and hardly be noticeable by the time they are an adult. My kids get scrapes from getting the cat mad and they disappear...

My son and I were in a motorcycle wreck years ago and he was about 5 our injuries were road rash and the plastic surgeon told me my son would be apt to scar worse than me because of their skin stretching during growth.

it may scar now, but it probably will fade as he grows up. as he grows the skin stretches and so should the scar. so it should disappear or at least fade.
