What makes even less sense is that those who are pro-abortion have already been born.

I suppose you could argue that a fetus is innocent, and murderers/rapists/child molesters are not. Personally, I am pro-choice and pretty much pro-death penalty. Some people are too evil to live. The problem I have with the death penalty is the potential for executing an innocent person, also the penalty is disproportionately given to black people (primarily black men).
However, if I'd been home when the sorry crackhead that broke into my house and robbed me blind did so, he'd be one dead sorry crackhead because I'd have shot him with the .38 revolver I had in my nightstand. I would still have all the stuff he stole (the heartbreaker is the jewelry that was given me by my mother and grandmother, both of whom have passed), and at least 10 other households would not have experienced the same sort of loss I did, including the incredible sense of violation. Fortunately, he has been arrested. Very little of value was recovered for any of the victims.

Yes I think it does. (I would need to believe this as I am strongly death penalty, like most of Europe, but pro abortion rights!)
The argument from the "other side" would just have to invoke guilt. The murderer has, well, murdered someone. Whereas the feotus hasn't committed any crime. Given that it is ok to pubish a guilty person and not ok to "punish" an innocent person it seems a fairly logical standpoint.
(My standpoint would be a feotus is not a human being whereas the criminal is.)

It actually makes perfect sense to me.
I'm an atheist, but then, I'm not so much "pro-life" as I am anti-abortion (in most circumstances).
What I find troubling about being proabortion aka prochoice--to kill and being anti death penalty is that they would rather any unwanted human unborn baby die any kind of death (unaware as they are about abortion procedure) just for the crime of being unwanted, yet they are so scared that an innocent person, even when we have proof beyond a reasonable doubt AND DNA evidence now to convict.
And the most violent scum of the earth need to permanently be taken out.
The worst of humanity really does deserve to die, anyone who is aware of what some people do and how obvious it is they are beyond hope would know that.
I also believe in pulling the damn plug when people are in perpetual vegetative states.
So, I'm not 'pro-life'.
Anyone fully prolife (usually Catholics) have lost their darn marbles.
Now answer me this riddle: Why do atheist (often liberals) cry about population control when it comes to abortion, but want to preserve the life of every last evil violent scum just so they can rot in a jail cell?
And why do they so often want to feed the hungry and give medication to those in Africa just so they can continue to multiply unabaited like rabbits? Anyone that concerned about population control would see the obvious conflict. But then it's convenient to think that the human fetus is 'fair game' to kill, hm?

It makes no sense to me. Life is life.
How can you be pro life one minute and pro death the next?

Sure.
In the case of abortion, the baby is innocent. It has done nothing wrong, and is not desesrving of beiong ripped apart in the womb.
In the case of the death penalty, those who are sentenced to die are not innocent, and they are deserving of punishment.

Absolutely! Both are about protecting the innocent -- the babe in the womb from abortion, and society from dangerous criminals.

or even pro-war in Iraq?
3,117 soldiers dead in Iraq. 22,000 wounded. Why aren't Christians as outraged at this as they were about Terry Schiavo?
