We have decided to have our ceremony outdoors and I am not sure what to do for the music! Or if we should have any at all. I was wondering what people have experienced at theirs or other outdoor weddings, or if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks!

I've only been to one outdoor wedding, but what they did was have someone play wedding music on a portable keyboard while the bride walked down the aisle.
That was nice, but the problem was that it was sort of windy and the minister was really hard to hear. It wasn't a very big ceremony, probably about ten rows of seats, but I was at the back and I couldn't hear any of the ceremony. So that's something you should consider, like maybe getting a portable mic for the minister and for you and your fiance when you say your vows. And also making sure that the music you choose will be loud enough for everyone to hear.

we used a boombox and hooked up the speakers from our living room. It was great. Everyone could hear and we got to use music in our ceremony.

Vivaldi wrote music for each season, that would be good for an outdoor wedding.

A friend of mine used a guy with an acoustic electric guitar & amp & he was accompanied by a female singer. They both sang & did a nice job. It wasn't very expensive & it was well received by the crowd.

i did not have a wedding outside but, i think that slow song by savage garden would be pretty good to play. The goes something like this..."i will bring you the moon and the stars" It is something along those lines. Hopefully you knnow what song i am talking about.

there are alot of ideas here.. you can have nature sounds playing softly or you can have classical playing, or higher a harpist to come play
