I have seen so many question here claiming that there is scienific proof that god exists, then when I find the artical that was published by the person that studied said finding, there is no mencion of god. Here is an exampal: last week I saw a question here that said that some one found evidance on the floor of the Red Sea that there was a disterbance there. The artical went on to say that they later found a fused falt line(a falt line that no longer moves and has become fused together). But some religious zelot took the first line of the artical and decided that it was proof that mosses had parted the Red Sea. even after a Paster told him that the curent translation of the bible had been miss translated and it was not the red sea that Mosses parted but the Reed Sea. Or that piece of cloth that was sapposedly taken from Jesus's tomb, that had a picture of jesus in his blood, when tested was found to be pigment rather than blood.

Christians are not proving the existence of God through scientific discovery - they can claim what they want but a belief doesn't turn a lie into the truth, no matter how many people believe. Twisting evidence or selecting fragments in an attempt to support a theory is what Christians have done throughout history - they even do it with their own book.

This is a very good question.Sometimes people are misled by those who preach without getting all the facts and this is what turns people away from god.The answers we are all looking for are available to us now more than they ever were before. There are language translators like yahoo bablefish that allow us to read the Hebrew text in our own language. I don't know if bablefish will do it but there are translators out there that might. As far as I know from reading my bible it was the red sea that was crossed. An evangelist named Kent hovind has done research on this and has a video called the creation seminar series and in it he shows photos of the pillars that commemorate the crossing as well as some very interesting photos of what they found at the bottom of the red sea between the pillars."Way Cool" As far as finding Jesus pic in the tomb.Well Jesus just wasn't there long enough to leave any impressions on any cloth and when he rose it was in his actual body. the bible is very clear on this. When Mary and the others went into the tomb Jesus was not there but they did speak with an angle who told them what had happened to him.The bible does answer all of our questions if we look for the answers in the right places. the bible is the word of god and god was here long before science. Have A Great Day.

Your last line.....if you are referring to the Shroud of Turin...you have read some serious lies. Even till today, 2007, not one scientist on earth can explain what is making the image, how the image was made, nothing.

A few have claimed they "think" they know but cannot reproduce it. And if it was blood or pigment (ink/paint) then it would absorb into the fibers and through them. Any microscope those that this is not true and that the image is only in the top few millimeters of the cloth. They have even tried to reproduce it with xray, laser, radiation, you name it. Still nothing.

So before you go doubting it due to 1 persons "ideals" you should do some actual, factual research.

The sealed up fault line could easily be related to the times of Noah's flood when God opened up the bowels of the earth and water sprang forward. Since this is not a true fault line or earthquake zone and since its sealed back up. This would easily fit under this logic.

And last.....to massively group all who believe in God as a single statement is wrong. That would be no different than me saying all white men pick their nose or all dogs only walk on their front legs when happy. Just cause a few do doesn't mean they all do. This shallow thinking is what causes racists remarks and being blinded to the truth that could lay before you in text and research.

PS - to the guy who made the comment about carbon dating of the Shroud. Carbon dating is a false theory and other science has proven it wrong many times. For one....you can carbon test a living snail and it will register as 270,000 years old....yet it will slither right in front of you. Its a bogus science. Plus they carbon dated the Shroud 3 times and got totally different answers each time.

I know of this Shroud as I was an atheist as a child. And I based all of my doubt on this piece of cloth. I know the facts inside and out and I myself have been proven to be wrong and that piece of cloth to be right.

Who 'allows' them to do that?
They will never be able to prove (a) god exists. That's why they invented the simple-minded terms 'faith', 'belief' and 'non-fiction'. They need SOME substantiation for thinking the way they do. So, since they CAN'T claim fact (scientists don't even claim fact), they need words they can incorporate into their language in order to discuss their religious nonsense.
BELIEVE doesn't equal KNOW.
FAITH doesn't equal KNOWLEDGE.
FICTION, not NON-FICTION, is the opposite of FACT. They had to put the buy-bull somewhere in the library, eh?

it's hard to find visual proof that God is real, really the visual proof is the bible. christians want to visisually prove that there is a god when they already have it, but it keep in mind scientists and archeologists do find things that do prove the bible so many biblical things have been destroyed thats why we have the bible (plus theres the things that God shows us today)

Many Christians have had miracles done in their lives and know God to be true including myself. There are scientific facts that back the existence of God.

The problem is the education system. People are not taught critical thinking and are not taught enough about science to realize what is real (or credible) and what is completely ridiculous.
