I think an ideology is a set of agreed upon doctrines. It doesn't have to be religious, it could be political or something else.
Religion is a fundamental ideology surrounding the existence of a supernatural power and/or, to some extent, a certain way of living.
Faith is the fervent belief in your religious ideology.

Ideology sounds like a good idea, and maybe more than a few people think so too. Get enough together, and it becomes a religion. When more questions than the religion can logically answer pop up, faith must prevail in order to maintain the ideology.
Or you can just sweep them all under the rug of dogma.

Ideology is a conceptual view of a topic. A way of seeing the topic. Your slant on it.
Religion is an organized set of rituals, rules and beliefs a group of like-minded folks will adhere to.
Faith is a personal relationship and belief in God.
