When I was 3 I got kicked by a horse over my eye so I have a big scar on my cheek and some above my eyebrow.....even though I'm 20 so I'm sure there's so way to get it to fade by now if it hasn't ... anyone know of anything? It seems to be less prominent in the summer cuz I get color and what not, but nothing really permanent, I know they have scar creams but I don't know if it would work for me

I would try mederma..Its a scar reducer...it might help a little. Or Vitamin E which comes in the capsul form in the vitamin isle. Just open the capsul and put the liquid on the scar daily.

Sara, too much sun can cause your scare to be worse later in life. there are no real ways to get rid of a scare but you can ease the look of one by using coco butter, not just the hand cream, but the real thick stuff at night. It will not only soften your skin it will also keep that scare from getting to dark. If you are a dark person especially it will show no matter what you do, but you will have a Chance not to give it too much sun, that makes it and your skin old looking. Hope this helped, good luck, remember to use the coco butter at night, because that is when your skin rejuvenates.

You might possibly be able to lessen the visibility a bit by using Pure 100% Vitamin E...I used this on a scar I had from an operation and it seemed to be relatively effective.

Otherwise ask your doctor to suggest something.

Good luck

Try aloe vera gel. Make sure it is the pure stuff and not diluted in any way. It won't get rid of it, but it should help. Works on burns and stretch marks too!

I think surgery is perhaps a little extreme...

Scar creams won't help.
Someday you might want to consider plastic surgery on it.

Speak with your dermatologist about a good plastic surgeon.

Maybe Retin-A but it is hard to get your hands on without a prescription.
