Hamsters can carry around bacteria and viruses, just like any other animal.

i dont think so--unless it has rabies..its not smart to like...pet one then touch your gace

you should probably have purell nearby everytime you handle it or wash your hands after you clean its cage.

always clean a cut if it bites you too with rubbing alcohol or peroxide to clean germs.
