Along with my cable box, I received a universal remote control. I programmed the TV fine but I can't program my DVD player. On the back of the manual (where all of the codes are), by brand of DVD player is not there. It is an Avion. Does this mean that I can not program the remote to work with the DVD player? Or is there another way to program it??? Please help!

Most universal remote controls have a mode where you can flip through codes until one works and switches the device off. Check the manual for how to do this.

Some universal remotes can be programmed using the original remote's control signals. For that the universal one needs a 'teaching mode'.

I actually have offered a one for all conventional distant administration at Argos. that is on web page 377, catalogue decision 534/6628. It prices £50. i take advantage of it for my television, VCR, Freeview container, DVD Recorder, all with finished function. you are able to also purchase a particular attachment that lets you use the distant to change your lighting fixtures on and rancid too! i have no longer offered that device, so i can not contact upon it. desire this helps.
