How long can my hair be before it's "too long"?

I have been growing my hair out for awhile now, and everyone prefers it long. I just read an article that was saying that it is "unfashionable" to have very long hair (past your breasts).... Does anyone agree/disagree with this??? I'm not planning on cutting it, I just wanted to get your opinions. Thank you!

Screw unfashionable. When it starts to aggravate the heck out of you while combing all the knots out of it, thats when I knew it was time. I got just a few inches taken off of it, and more guys check me out cause they can see my boobs better.

I'm happy to see that there's not hating on long hair/long talk about Locks of Love here. My thoughts are that the women who go on and on about how long hair is "unfashionable, not stylish, etc," are just insanely jealous ;) I do think past the butt is a little excessive, but whatever floats your boat.

I think that when you let your hair down and bring it in front of your shoulders, once its closer to your navel than your boobs, then you should get a few inches trimmed off.

What the magazine said is untrue. Everyone is different and looks good with different cuts. I have also been growing my hair out, and it is just about right near my boobs. People say my hair looks better than ever. Even people I barely know approach me to tell me how good it looks. (Not bragging, just saying.) So my point is, don't go by generalizations in stupid magazines. Go by your common sense.

I don't think there is a too long. Well let me take that back. It depends on you age, If you are like 35 and have hair down to your but, it might be to long. If your hair is healthy and looks good long. let it be, just make sure you take good care of it and use good product on it and get it trimmed regularly. If you don't take care of it, it wont look good long. Or short for that matter. Also just remember Fashion is in the eye of the beholder. WHO cares what "THEY" say, be your own fashion icon!!!

It is too long, when you start stepping on it lol I personally would not grow my hair past my butt.

I agree, I think very long hair starts to cover you up. It also depends on the thickness of your hair too. You can start having health related issues when your hair is long too as the weight of it can cause headaches etc.

nicely, fur remains hair, we basically confer with animal hair as "fur" and human hair as, nicely "hair", i think of the only difference between hair and fur is that fur is everywhere in the physique (like an animal's physique) and hair is on the pinnacle (like on a human's), yet fur and hair on my own is an identical element. i'm hoping this answer helped, ?gabydt8?

well my hair used 2 be up until me tail bone but then i cut it cuz i had split ends. and now it is about an inch and a half below my boobs and i dont really like it!!! so dont cut it hair is beauty i had no choce...i had split eends i dont think there really is a too long thing it all depends on the person, like 4 me 2 the tail bone is long but not too long but 2 my friends it was way too long, so yeah i think long hair is beautiful

I think it just depends on your age. When you are older REALLY long hair just isnt very flattering. But if you are young then I say as long as you want just make sure it looks healthy and still flatters you.

No such thing as too long. For me, my preference is different for different women and hair colors, but one of my favorites for blonde hair is down to the curvature of the buttocks. (Well, you had to ask! lol)
