Anything in a can or a package is loaded with lots of sodium. So if i am cooking without adding salt, there still could be tons of salt in the food!

Most packages would say 'Low in Sodium' right on the package or the can.

Just don't add salt. It can be added at the table to taste.
Look for low salt products.

Just reduce salt in recipe (not baking) or eliminate it all together and season with herbs and spices.
