Girls don't want bad boys that treat them poorly, but they want good guys who step up and are exciting, confident, and assertive. What makes these "bad boys" to attractive is the fact that they don't ask a girl's permission to exist or live. They don't give off those needy vibes or give the power all over to the women. Women (like men) like to feel sexual and romantic tension. A push and pull dynamic is what keeps things hot. When a "good guy" starts giving women everything on a silver platter, the game kind of gets stale for women. Bad boys keep that fire alive whereas good guys spark it and often let it die. The message here is NOT "good guys finish last". They would finish first every time if they just got their stuff together. To get "bad boy" results, don't BE a bad boy. Just brush up on yoru confidence, work on your communication, be assertive, and hone your sense of humor. Also, keep in mind that there is a difference between being assertive/mildly cocky and being an arrogant jerkwad. Sometimes it might seem like a fine line, but err on the side of being a gentleman. I agree with the person below me who makes the point that you should NOT try to put on some act or adopt a persona. Just let the person that you are shine through, but give it a bit of a push in the assertive direction and don't give away all of your power to any woman. That is like letting the tension on a fishing line go slack...the fish gets away. Chemistry is defined by that pushing and pulling, so try to find the middle ground between wussbag and criminal delinquent and you should be fine.

This is the age old question. The good girls get no dates, and have no boyfriends. Look at Bill Gates the originator of Microsoft a geek, a weird guy who made this possible. Bad boys are fun cool, and usually broke by the time it is said and done. The 'good' guys on the other hand work hard make a life and find a wonderful woman who is more than beautiful, she is pure, honest and not in it for the fun. It is your decision, do you want to be a 'cool' jerk or a honest, smart and loving person with a future.

Sigh. This is a myth that needs destroying. I've been married to the same sweet guy for 12 years and was with him for 8 before that (we met when I was 18). And no, I'm not some acne-covered tub of lard, I'm quite an attractive slim 38.

I don't deny that there are some girls/women attracted to the mystique of the "bad boy". And that's silly, but...most men/boys are looking for whatever woman their friends will think looks most like a supermodel...no? Same thing. Quality men AND quality women are out there. Finding one takes patience, a certain amount of luck, and the acquired skill of looking beyond what you see in the first 30 seconds. Any woman/girl who can't do that in regards to you is not going to be worth your time and effort--but make sure you're worth hers too! Whatever you do, DON'T put on some kind of grotesque "bad boy" act. It would be inconvincing even if it weren't a really bad strategic move (which it is). Best of luck.

Actually, they don't. The only reason girls seem to always go for the bad guy is because the good guy's are too shy to ask them out, etc. The bad guy's don't give a damn about anyone but themselves, so they're not shy about TAKING what they want.

Girls like guys that will be sweet and bad at the same time. We want someone strong and will be there for us when we need them even if the woman is very independant.
