My chihuahua my be about three weeks pregnant what are the first sighns?

the first sign is if you noticed when she went out of heat. a chihuahua will go out of heat almost immediately as soon as they are bred. the next sign is over the next few weeks you will notice her nipples getting bigger and her mammary glands will swell slightly until closer to the actual birth when they fill with milk. another is that she wants nothing to do with another male dog, sometimes even other females. At three weeks it's hard to tell, but here are the signs to watch for.
The first sign is that her vulva remains swollen after the heat is completely over. Usually it will go back to normal size in a non-pregnant female.
Her nipples may enlarge a bit.
At three weeks she may experience some morning sickness and not eat much and/or vomit for a few days, then it passes.

Closer to time of birth milk will form within nipples and may see milk drip from them.
Start feeding her puppy food (a good brand such as Hills or eukanuba) as she needs the extra calories that puppy food provides.
She will need a nesting box, a safe place for her that is warm to have her pups.
