We own a 2005, 3.5L V6 and it's nicer than we need. It has the awesome stereo and digital climate control. It sets up nice and a much roomier trunk space than a Tuscon.

Most manufacturers step up the transmission on the bigger V6's than the smaller 6's and the 4's. I know this was true for the 2004 Sante Fe. Point Being, the larger motor might scare folks thinking about fuel economy but they may not end up in the shop as soon as the smaller motor/tranny versions- IN MY OPINION ONLY. My last 4-cylinder car with a timing belt (vs timing chain) had about 25 things broken on it by the time I pushed it into the dealer to trade it in at 77k miles!!!!! No more 4 cylinders on a larger car for me!!!

Hyundai Santa Fe....good model, suffered recently in NCap ratings (because it is a bad car to run over by) but good spec, reasonable price and 5 year warranty, when compared to similar cars in its sector....BMW X5...over-rated, expensive, paying for the badge..........Nissan Morano...gas-guzzling 3.5 litre engine with a disappointingly low power output, about 244bhp (I think), only one model, fully specced...therefore pricey.......Porsche Cayenne...you have to have more money than sense, it also helps if you have no taste at all.....Land Rover Discovery/Range Rover Sport...totally unreliable cars, way too expensive, drop their value in about fifteen minutes and Kens gonna get you with that one.
