Dogs aren't human so I don't think they love us back the same way we love them. I wish they did... and I like to think they do...

I love my dogs to pieces too! I have 5 and they are my kids. I do think that they are happy here but I don't think they have the same feeling for our family that we have for them.

They are loyal, loving, and sweet, happy and I have seen them grieve when I've lost a dog. I've also seen them unhappy when we leave etc. But they are dogs - not people. They see us as dogs... and part of their pack.

No matter what, I love them dearly and I'll do anything I can to make sure they are happy, healthy and they know they are loved.

I always refer to my dog as a perpetual 5 year old. For the most part, if their needs are being adequately met, they are happy, giving, social beings. But like many 5 year old kids, they are prone to declaring a toy as theirs and may get testy if they are not in the sharing mood when someone or something comes close to them. Five year olds will give unconditional love to anyone who they have absolute trust in. They are also mature enough to understand that love and trust go together, just as caution, aggression and fear are warranted under certain conditions.

Many dogs that end up in rescue, have had their trust in humans violated. Some beyond repair of every trusting humans again. But many just need time and propper care to restore their faith to love and trust thier new human companions.

Dogs are pack animals and need the comfort, love and strength of the group for survival. We too tend toward existing in groups and not living the life of a hermit.

We as humans give dogs time we can spare, and space we can spare and in many cases love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal humans have ever made. Consider this, ever wondered what a dog must think of us? I mean, here we come back from a grocery store with chicken, pork, and half a cow. They must think we're the greatest hunters on earth! All I know is that,if there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.

I think dogs feel like their owners are like their mothers. I think they feel affection for you as if you were their real mother. I think dog love is different from human love when it comes to loving other dogs, but a dog feels a great amount of love for their owner, I know that.

if you feel that way to her she most likely feels the same way to you...although she might be a dog they seem to share the same concept of love, loyalty, and trust. females tend to bond together no matter what due to the similarities we have. your dog knows that you love her vey much as well as you know she loves you very much. dont ever break that trust. just keep loving her unconditionally and youll just have this intuitive feeling that you know she loves you back in so many ways.

i in my view trust that any smart existence form has a soul, and some thing with a soul must have emotions, besides the undeniable fact that animals educate their emotions in fairly diverse approaches than people, i trust they could experience love, anger, and the different feeling, all my canines paintings mutually with one yet another like kinfolk, yet a useless ringer for people, they have their disagreements.

I think dogs love for us is unconditional! So that would make me believe that they love us more than we do!

our dog loves us! of course we spoil it rotten, but then we spoil our kids too!
but in answer to your question - yes, dogs feel the same for us as we do them.

i don't think dogs love us as much as we love them. I think they see us as providers and part of their pack but aren't as crazy about us as we are about them, but i'm not a dog.
