I actually had an updo done for a friends wedding at walmart and I got a lot of compliaments on my $25 hairstyle.

its really your choice, but if it were me, I'd definatly go to
beauty collage. It opens up tons of high paying jobs. It'll look good on your resume. Besides, once you graduate from it, you can always work at a walmart hair salon anytime. You can also go places with the education.

i would say beauty college. You'll get to get a better job that pays more. When you work for someone they'll see that you went to school to perfect your skills. It'll show. Anyway if the college doesn't work you could always say that you tried.
