I have a male black cat-all black-and he has no interest in any of the female cats in the neighborhood. He was not neutered, and, is almost one year old. I have another male cat that is neutered and is much older.

I'm not really sure, but we had a neutered cat about 8 years old and got a neutered kitten. They lived together happily for about 2 years, then one day the older cat started chasing and 'mounting' the younger cat. Strangely the younger cat didn't really seem to mind...

The term"Alpha" belongs to canines and springs for the social hierarchy of wolves-alpha being the miraculous wolf. yet you're top that the only cat is dominating and enjoying at mating-if no longer yet person -baby,youngster animals additionally will simulate mating(motions yet no longer actual mating ,insertion is going on) for they replica the behaviors of the adults and that's a habit they notice. because of the fact the only cat has primary itself miraculous in the social order of the two cats it gets to mimic, prepare the habit on an identical time as the different cat is being submissive. there is not any such factor as "gay" in cat society for while the male gets to mating age will purely mate with a girl and the female while in warmth will purely be approached by using male cats. fact is the female by using emitting scent that she is in warmth starts the mating technique-the male will understand time to mate because of the hormone scent given out by using the female cat and purely acquaintances with those cats giving off this hormone charm-so being gay is impossible for a cat. So is gay no longer regular in canines for even however a male.lady will hump to tutor domination and those being humped are being submissive -it incredibly is all simulation and the act would not happen.to understand your cats-study up on behaviors of the super cats for even if your kitty has been domesticated for an extremely long term-acts merely like the bigh cats.

If you have two whole male cats living together, it is very possible that one of them will mount the other and try to mate. It doesn't make him gay, it makes him hard-up because there are no females around in heat. I had this happen with a couple sets of toms many years ago. In my observation, they never took turns; tom #1 always did it to tom #2, and tom #2 was never willing. In fact, sometimes, he broke away.

He's probably not gay, his hormones just haven't kicked in yet. Consider yourself lucky because if they had he would be peeing all over. I suggest you get him fixed right away.

This is kind of funny, my dog tries to breed my male cat. I don't think he's gay, he just doesn't have a female around that will let him.

according to smithsonaian magazine rams can be gay (not only that but gay rams have a different brain pattern than "straight" rams) so I don't see why a cat couldn't be gay.

although if he is mounting other animals (cat or otherwise) that are male it could be just a dominance thing. dogs, rabbits and other animals (females too) do that to show dominance as well as to mate

If you R letting your male cat out to visit with his other neighborhood cat friends he needs to be neutered!!! Unless U R with him the whole time he is out and about chances are he's getting some. The last thing we need are more strays running around to starve to death or die from a terrible disease

It is possible for animals to have homosexual behaviour but it may also be possible that none of the female cats in the neighbourhood are in heat, especially if most of them have been neutered.
