As I have stated in answers before, DEI is more than racing. It is car dealerships, farms, restaurants and real estate as well as other financial endeavors. Before Dale Sr. married Teresa there was no DEI. She is one smart and savvy business woman. DEI was brought about so Dale Sr. and Teresa could be financially secure after his racing career was through. I don't know the terms of Dale Sr's will but it isn't uncommon for an estate to go to the surviving spouse. As a married couple, the money invested into DEI was partly hers.

Well let's look at something. Jr. had to take DEI to court for the right to HIS name. The company Teresa owns is Dale Earnhardt Incorporated. If Dale jr. leaves the name will not have much meaning to it.

I think it is fair for Jr to get what he deserves, which is part of the company. Teresa does not care or know enough about racing to be an owner. She is never at the track. DEI needs someone that actually has racing knowledge to runt he show. I think Jr and Kelly will get DEI where it needs to be.
I think Teresa should take care of the Legacy Foundation and keeping Sr's memory alive. She has done a great job of that for almost 6 years. She should stick with what she can handle.

Teresa ran the business while Dale was racing. That's why she wants to keep it now. She didn't inherit any new duties, just the same as when Dale was alive.
Dale Jr. just wants to have more say-so in his racing.
If they can't share then I guess someone has got to go. Should be interesting because I don't think Dale Jr. is going to stay with the status quo.

Teresa had nothing to do with the building of D.E.I. Dale Sr. built the company on his own. All she did was run while he was on the track and even then she did what he told her to do. Dale Jr isn't trying to take it all away from her. He is just going for 51% of the company. That would leave her and other share holders 49%.

Not me. She's a greedy, selfish, controlling, money hungry *****! Dale Sr. started DEI for Dale Jr. to get a good start in his racing career. She will lose it all if she doesn't grow up. If Dale Jr. was to leave DEI, all of his fans (most popular driver-voted by fans-4 years in a row!), his sponsors and merchandise sales will go with him. He IS DEI! His name says it all-Dale Earnhardt Jr. Does anyone think this would be happening if Dale Sr. was still alive! This was his legacy to his son, she is not honouring her husband's memory very well.

Nope, I'm not. DEI should belong to the Earnhardt bloodline of which Teresa doesn't belong.Yes, I think Jr. should take it all away from her.

Jr was a big part as well and wants to follow in his dad's footsteps. He's also getting older and wants security and stability, which would come with owning DEI (not just driving for DEI).

In 6 years she has not built the team in any way. They have gone from 3 full times teams to 2. The team was built for the kids but primarily JR. HE is due a controlling interest and if he gets rid of her so be it.

No...not unless she's been a real greedy and selfish biotch. I don't know anything about her attitude so I can't make that call. I like Dale Jr. and if he thinks he should have total ownership, well maybe he knows what he's doin'.
