its a scratch. you can hit the ball backwards though

Only if he scratches on the 8 ball.

other wise no. You put your Q ball back on the D-) as you would do on a scratch.
Scratch= miss

That is your miscue and embarrassing as well.... but only a scratch, and your opponent can then play his next shot as in a cueball made into pocket 'scratch' ..good luck!

No you loose your shot and have to pay a dollar to the table owner .

no. It is considered a scratch. Same result if one would put the que ball in a pocket.
