I used real whipped cream to frost an angel food cake, and froze it in advance of a dinner party. I then defrosted it and we ate about half, and now I'm wondering if I can refreeze the remainder of the cake to use for refreshments for a meeting a few days from now?
(I know it's taboo to re-freeze raw meat.)

No.... in a word. Instead, how about cutting it all up now & refrigerate the pieces. Then make a complimentary pudding the day before the meeting. Add Cool Whip, or some whipped topping like that to 1/2 of the pudding. Add a can of a pie filling, or fresh fruit (hard this time of year) that goes with your pudding..... like Chocolate & cherries, or french vanilla & strawberries, or vanilla & bananas, maybe with some chocolate pieces....and layer the cake pieces, dollops of pudding, dollops of whipped topping & pudding, and fruit in a clear glass/plastic dish. Et Wala (okay, I know that is not spelled right!) you have a triffle!!! Finish off with whipped topping and maybe a fruit garnish that would go with your mixture. I think a problem like yours is what created "triffles" in the first place! Have a great meeting!

If it's a few days then I imagine so. It may not have the same zing or flavor it had the first time that you ate some of the cake, but I'm sure that it will still be fresh and okay to eat.

You can refreeze anything...the question is how long was it out of the freezer?

You can re-freeze meat as long as the time it's out doesn't add up to being spoiled...including thaw time.

The cake should be fine as long as the whipped cream didn't set out enough to sour.

just get a few pints of fresh raspberries and puree them and strain out the seeds. Add the puree to the already partially whipped cream. Make sure you add a small amount of gelatin so the cream will not collapse.
